Speed Dating

Our Speed Dating events are strictly no pressure and are intended to be a fun and sophisticated night out.

On arrival at the venue, you will be greeted by your DateClub hosts. You will be signed in and given a dating card, a pen and a name badge. Your DateClub host will explain how the evening works and answer any questions. You will meet approximately 15 people in an evening.

During the event, one half of the group stays seated, and the others rotate every 5 minutes at the sound of a bell. After each date, participants mark on their dating card whether or not they would like to see that person again. There will be a short interval halfway through the evening.

After the event, many people choose to stay on at the venue to carry on talking to the people they've just met. Including registration time and the halfway interval, the event should last for about two and a half hours. At the end of the evening, you take your dating card home to enter your ticks online on our website the following day.

If you have ticked someone but they have not ticked you, then unfortunately you did not match and no personal details will be exchanged. If you have ticked someone and they have also ticked you, then you have a 'match', and your email address will be sent to that person and you will receive theirs. It is then up to you whether or not you contact that person after the event.

Speed Dating is the best and most enjoyable way of meeting new people. So, why not give it a try?! A lot can happen in 5 minutes!

Lock & Key Parties

As the name suggests, Lock and Key Parties are all about matching the lock with the right key while meeting single people at the same time.

On arrival at the Party, girls are given a lock and guys are given a key. The aim is to match as many locks and keys as you can throughout the evening. You have roughly a one in ten chance of a key unlocking a lock. Each time a match is found, the successful pair are issued with a new lock and key and also receive a raffle ticket each to win top prizes in our special draw.

The locks and keys are a great icebreaker and give you an easy way into a conversation with other people at the Party. As you will meet so many people during the evening, it’s just a case of stopping to chat to the people you want to and moving on from the ones you don’t. It’s a great way to network, make new friends, meet your match or simply have a great time.

The earlier you arrive, the more people you will meet and the more chances you will have of winning some great prizes. You can expect to meet a large number of people at our Lock and Key Parties, so you are guaranteed a fantastic night out!
